I so wish we could have understood each other in that moment. I looked down and saw Maria (Click HERE to read about when I first met her) smiling at me with her bright eyes. That afternoon I went out with Lindsay & Indra and as I was standing in the street I all of a sudden felt a tugging on my arm. We went thrift store shopping (I found the CUTEST jacket for only $14!) and I tried to get the package of via coffee that my Mom mailed to me, but sadly it didn’t get here, so Flo will get to enjoy some good coffee & tea. On Thursday, I was able to hang out with Flo for a couple hours which was such a special time.
Here are the lyrics so far and they of course keep changing every time I sit down to play it ? I stopped and started playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (which happened to be in the same key of the song I was writing) and all of a sudden I was using part of the tune to twinkle twinkle for the song that God was giving me. One of the kids came over and was watching as I was playing. It wasn’t a worship song, which is what I always tried to fit into it, but it was a song about orphans. For whatever reason I’ve never really given time or pursued this much, but as I was sitting at the piano words began to come to life in this melody that I have been playing for years. It’s been spoken over my life multiple times that I would write songs and on a choir tour in High-School I had a pastor even say that God was going to give me songs for the nations. I started playing a melody that I have played for years and have never had any words. Once everything was caught up in the kitchen I felt like God wanted me to go sit and play the piano again. It was fun getting to work with Flo in the kitchen : ) Crown Romania just moved into this 300 year old home last year after renovating it. I had no idea!Īfter this I went and helped peel potatoes for lunch (I think I peeled about 40 potatoes LOL) and for a soup that would feed them all for 3 days. I found out later that one of the girls in the house was inspired to learn piano and to work at it after hearing me play this song. There was a real piano in the living room of the home and as we split off to work on different projects I sat down and just had to play Fur Elise….I couldn’t not play that in a 300 year old house in Europe! Nothing like playing a real piano!
Such a small world! Coco (one of the workers in the home) showed me pictures of Rancho De Sus Ninos and I was in awe that this place was connected to a place all the way back in Tijuana. I asked her what the name of the ministry was and she said, “Rancho De Sus Ninos”!! This is the first orphanage that I went to when I was in 7th grade on my first missions trip to Tijuana. They mentioned that they partner with an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico and are modeling their ministry after them. I immediately felt a connection with Crown Romania and as they began to share their story. To speak out for those whose voices would not be heard and mobilize the community and churches to take responsibility for the proper care of orphans.” This is the heart of Crown Romania: “To restore the hope of abandoned children for their God given destiny and advocate for social responsibility in this cause. I’ve never heard of this before, but she began to share about the story of Esther in the Bible and how Mordecai cared for her and ultimately prepared Esther to go before the king to save her people. She began to tell us how they provide training for families who are willing to take in children and that they are praying for more people to have a “Mordecai spirit”.
IZIDOR RUCKEL ABANDONED LIFE HOW TO
Hadasa told me that when they got their daughter she had to do therapy for 6 hours a day for 3 months just to learn how to sit up and do basic things. They have a son and adopted a little girl. Right now they have 7 kids in their home who came from an orphanage that is about 3 hours away. It was started in 2013 and they also have a local church in town. We heard their vision and got an understanding of what they do. We were able to sit down with the couple (Pilu & Hadasa) who started this home. We arrived and went into a beautiful 300 year old building that was right on the main street of Sighisoara. It’s located in Sighisoara which is about 1 hour away from Medias and we traveled on some crazy snowy roads to get there! The buildings there were absolutely gorgeous and the fresh snow made it even more dreamy. On Wednesday we went to a child placement/foster home called Crown Romania. It was so fun showing Lindsay around Romania and getting to snuggle with sweet Ezra AND we even got 2 Zumba sessions in! I finally got my voice back and am feeling so much better! We had one of our school leaders and her son come visit us for a week.
